どんな年代でも、どんなスポーツでも、どんな仕事でも、いちばん大事なのは「相手への尊敬の気持ち」と「相手と共に生きること」だと、私は思います。
勝っても負けても、どちらも素晴らしい
スポーツは、勝ち負けがはっきりします。勝った選手もいれば、負けた選手もいます。それでも、勝ち負けに関わらず、どちらも素晴らしい。本気でやり遂げたことこそが素晴らしいのです。
技術ももちろん大事です。でも、お互いが共に生き、支え合っているという人間の美しい心のほうが、もっと大事だと私は考えています。きれいごとに聞こえるかもしれませんが、このきれいごとをなくして、世界は成り立ちません。
ときには誰でも、勝ち負けにこだわって我を忘れてしまうことがあります。自分よりできる人に嫉妬したり、自分よりできない人を見下したりして、我を忘れてしまうこともあるでしょう。そんなとき、この動画の子どもたちの姿が、本当に大事にするべきものは何なのかを教えてくれるはずです。

試合後の光景が生まれる前の、決勝戦そのもののハイライトも公開されています。両チームが本気でぶつかり合ったからこそ、あの試合後の姿があるのだと分かります。

今日からできる練習メニュー
リスペクトを習慣にする3つの約束（チーム／毎回の練習・試合で）
相手を尊重する気持ちは、技術と同じように、ふだんの習慣から育ちます。チームで次の3つを約束してみましょう。①試合の前は、相手の目を見てあいさつと握手をする。②試合の中では、相手の良いプレーにも「ナイス！」と声をかける。③試合の後は、勝っても負けても、相手チームの良かった点を3つ話し合う。練習のミニゲームでは、「相手チームへのナイス！」を1回1点として数えるルールにすると、楽しみながら習慣にできます。
